Setting Up EdCast

This guide will go through the proceedure of setting up EdCast on your system

1. Download EdCast Standalone here N/A
2. Install EdCast N/A
3. Download and install LAME MP3 Encoder DLL, you'll need WinZip to open and extract the contents. You need to put in your system folder within your windows directory - if your windows directory is hidden, see this guide N/A
4. Run EdCast, on the opening window within the Live Recording area choose your soundcard (if it is empty) and then Line In (if you're using external decks) or Master Volume (if you are using Traktor or the like) Fig 1.

5. Click on the Add Encoder button to add a stream, then double-click on that created stream below. Fig 2.

6. On the window that pops up, click on the Basic Settings tab and enter the following:
  • Bitrate: 96
  • Samplerate: 44100
  • Channels: 2 and tick Joint Stereo
  • Encoder Type: MP3 Lame Encoder (important)
  • Server Type: Shoutcast
  • Server IP: you get this on the My Stream Password page in Admin
  • Server Port: you get this on the My Stream Password page in Admin
  • Encoder/Server Password: you get this on the My Stream Password page in Admin
  • Reconnect Seconds: 10



Then click OK and you're done!

All you need to do it click Connect
